Our History

It began in 1994 when Rice Broocks, Phil Bonasso and Steve Murrell joined their ministries together to pursue the mission of church planting, campus ministry and world missions. (At the time, this collaborative ministry was called Morning Star International.) Around the same time, a young couple with a similar vision, named Wolfi and Alison Eckleben, had just arrived in London, England to start a new church as a part of their sending ministry in South Africa called His People Christian Churches.

Since then, these two ministries, along with others such as Grace Bible Ministries and Chapel of Glory Churches, have joined together to form one family of churches and ministries called Every Nation – named to reflect the ministry’s shared vision to plant a church in “Every Nation in Our Generation.”

From its start, Every Nation has been making disciples, planting churches and training leaders. One of the primary vehicles for this is Every Nation Leadership Institute – a two-year Bible School designed to train every member of the local church to be a minister. Additionally, our Every Nation Schools of Ministry provide avenues for men and women to be trained for full-time vocational ministry as pastors, church planters, campus and youth ministers, and/or cross-cultural missionaries.

In the UK, Every Nation Ministries' four primary emphases are church planting, campus and youth ministries, world missions and community transformation. Currently, Every Nation has churches on six continents, including churches in some of the countries historically most resistant to the Gospel, including: Iran, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Mongolia and China. In 1999, the 2010 Initiative was launched – the first in a series of 10-year plans casting a vision for each local church to plant at least one new church every three years.

Today, Every Nation has churches and outreaches in 50 nations … with 145 still to go!
